I bought these in place of the disposable NUK pads. I found that wearing the disposables for more than a few hours would start to have an odor and that drove me crazy – maybe because the ventilation wasn’t good enough. Since buying these Udder Cover pads, I haven’t had that issue! I can wear these all day and not have issues with odors. I also love that you can wash them and they’re ready to go again instead of spending money each month on a 30 day (or more often, less) supply box – just pop them in the washer with all the newborn clothes washing you’re doing anyway!! I pump my milk instead of breastfeed directly and I haven’t had issues with leaking through these yet, and I’ve had as much as 7 hour gaps between pumping sessions.The downfall is that you can definitely tell you’re wearing them in a t-shirt if you have a thin nursing bra on, as they’re a little bit thicker than a disposable (although disposables were visible too). They do crumple a little bit after washing, but they do shape back easily…I’m sure if you ironed them they’d be good as new again. Overall I’ve been very happy with these, and you can’t beat the price! I bought 3 packages and have washed them over and over…no issues with them falling apart or anything. |

I give these a five-star rating because they are very comfortable nursing pads with the most bang for my buck. I also have used Medela’s cotton nursing pads, Nuk reusable pads (the kind vented on the back), and Pink Daisy’s organic cotton pads.The reason I am reording after a year of nursing with them is that they started to grow mold spots. All my washable nursing pads did, which I attribute to only having to wash my nursing pad stash 1x/week. I tried bleaching, and also tried bac-out, but those methods didn’t remove the mold. I have “thrown in the towel” on trying, and am going to purchase more.
The important thing to me is that these nursing pads are very comfortable, and are thinner than the Pink Daisy organic pads, which are very soft and absorbant compared to these Udder Cover brand. If you have a padded nursing bra, you can probably hide these from view, but don’t count on them to last more than 24 hours. I wear mine from after my morning shower until I nurse my baby the following morning, but when I was first starting out, I had to change them more often, of course, due to supply coming in stronger, and baby nursing more often.
For less than , I’m willing to invest in these again. They are a good product. I first got them via the website when I got their nursing cover (the “Udder Cover”) and the Milk Bands.

I usually bought disposable nursing pads, but I noticed that I wouldn’t leak very much, but the little I did leak I had to throw the whole nursing pad away and I felt like it was a lot of money when I wasn’t leaking very much. I know I needed pads because I did leak a little, but not enough to really fill a pad and I felt I was wasting money. I decided to give these a try and I LOVE THEM!!! Comfortable, soft, I can just wash them and reuse them as much as I need and if I don’t leak I can just wear them the next day. I will say, that if you are one to leak a lot, such as filling a pad, I don’t know how much these will hold.
